Chris Pratt is a well-known American actor who shot to stardom around the world for his outstanding roles in movies including “The Lego Movie,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and “Jurassic World.” For Pratt, making his acting debut was a breeze compared to other actors who have a difficult time breaking into the industry. He was working as a waiter when actress and director Rae Dawn Chong noticed him and gave him a part in her first film, “Cursed Part 3.” Although he always intended for something that would eventually make him famous, the debut opened the door for a career in cinema and television, which he never imagined to do.
With his television roles in the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation” and the WB drama series “Everwood,” Pratt first gained notoriety as an actor. His major break came in 2014 when he played the lead roles in two hugely popular, commercially successful movies: the computer-animated adventure comedy “The Lego Movie” and the Marvel Studios superhero movie “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He had previously been written off as a supporting actor. He quickly followed it up with ‘Jurassic World,’ which went on to become his most financially successful film to date after grossing $1.6 billion at the box office. With significant projects in the works, Pratt’s future as an actor appears to be sparkling and bright.

Pratt was raised near Lake Stevens, Washington, and attended a local school for his education. He demonstrated interest in wrestling while he was studying and finished fifth in the high school state wrestling competition. He briefly attended a community college before quitting. He started working odd jobs after that and briefly became homeless.
Career
Chris Pratt, a young man who was virtually homeless, entered the acting industry by chance. Rae Dawn Chong, an actress and director, caught his attention while he was waiting tables at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant in Maui. She offered him a part in her first film as a filmmaker, the short horror movie “Cursed Part 3,” because of his attractive appearance and his enthusiasm.
Following his debut, Chris Pratt was cast as a guest star in 2001’s “The Huntress” television series. He was cast in his first regular television role in the 2002 season of “Everwood” as Harold Brighton “Bright” Abbott. The 89-episode series came to an end in 2006.
Pratt performed in several movies while working on “Everwood,” including “The Extreme Team” and “Strangers with Candy.” He also played Nathan McCain in the television movie “Paths of Destruction.”
In the fourth season of “The O.C.,” which ran from 2006 to 2007, Chris Pratt played activist Winchester “Ché” Cook in a recurring role. He appeared in the action movie “Wanted” the following year.

He also got a part in the NBC comedy series “Parks and Recreation” as Andy Dwyer. Andy was initially only supposed to be a passing character, but the fans embraced him so much that he was made a series regular. Up until 2015, “Parks and Recreation” aired.
In the 2011 movie “Moneyball,” Pratt portrayed Oakland Athletics first baseman/catcher Scott Hatteberg. In the movie, he played a parent and a devastated baseball player who once thought his career was finished and who had the tough challenge of learning a totally new defensive position, reversing his usual roles of utterly immature characters.
Chris Pratt constantly aspires to be a perfectionist in his work. He frequently takes extra steps and works hard so that he can fulfil his roles completely. Pratt shed more than 30 pounds for “Moneyball,” but he had to gain it back for his movie “10 Years.” Then, in 2012, Pratt lost it once more while playing a Navy SEAL in the movie “Zero Dark Thirty.”
It’s interesting to note that Pratt first declined the part of Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy.” The movie’s casting director, Sarah Finn, managed to persuade James Gunn that Pratt was the ideal choice for the part. Pratt eventually agreed to a multi-film agreement with Marvel Studios after meeting with Gunn.
Pratt, who was previously primarily known as a supporting actor, saw a turn of events in 2014 when he was cast in two consecutive major parts. The first came when he provided the voice of Emmet Brickowski in “The Lego Movie.” In North America, it ended up becoming the biggest-grossing movie of 2014.
In the same year, he received both critical and popular praise for his performance as Star-Lord/Peter Quill in the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He received a great deal of praise for the movie, which brought in $770 million at the box office. Pratt closed the year by playing the lead in two of the year’s top five highest-grossing movies.
Following this extraordinary achievement, Pratt received a number of accolades. He was also asked to appear on the covers of numerous magazines. He came in second place on “People” magazine’s annual list of the sexiest men alive that year.
As Owen Grady in the 2015 adaptation of “Jurassic World,” Pratt, a devoted follower of the “Jurassic Park” film series, relived his obsession with dinosaurs from his youth. The movie was a huge success, earning $652 million in North America and $1.018 billion abroad for a total of $1.670 billion globally.
The sequel to “Jurassic World,” in which Pratt once again played Owen Grady, was produced as a result of the film’s unprecedented success.
In 2016, he had two films come out: “Passengers” featured him as Jim Preston, and “The Magnificent Seven” had him as gambler Josh Faraday.
